Theatre (Vancouver Fringe) review: Slut R(e)volution makes it easy to feel comfortable in our sex lives

While Cameryn Moore may be a better phone whore, she still makes a great slut.

Cameryn Moore's Slut (R)evolutionI’ll repeat what I said last year, Cameryn Moore is a gifted writer and performer.  In her second appearance in as many years at the Vancouver International Fringe Festival, Moore hangs up the phone and gives takes us on a more personal journey into her sex life in Slut R(e)volution.

Eschewing other’s fantasies for her own real-life sexual exploration, Moore recounts stories such as having sex on a train in Russia that turns into a felony and a BDSM encounter at Burning Man that the ladies from Does This Turn You On? could learn a thing or two from.

There is little of the controversy that Moore generated with last year’s show and which obviously had stuck in people’s minds as it was part of the pre-show conversation with fellow Fringe patrons as we waited in line.

While perhaps not quite as daring as last year’s show, Moore still tells a great story.  By being so comfortable in her own sexuality she makes it easy for the rest of us to feel comfortable in our comparatively mundane sex lives.
