Taking place at various locations throughout Vancouver from September 25-29, 2013, the highlight of Word Vancouver continues to be the day long festivities at the central branch of the Vancouver Public Library on Sunday, September 29, 2013.

In addition to author readings, panel discussions and more, you’ll also have an opportunity to enjoy musical performances and other acts on the main stage once again hosted by our very own Culture Vulture, David C Jones.  Other activities include writing, comic and cartooning workshops with Canadian authors plus book and magazine exhibitors share their passion for the written word.

Poetry is the theme of this year’s Word Vancouver and comes complete with automated poetry vending machines on site.  The LGBTQ community will be represented in the Poetry Tent on Sunday with readings from Christine Leclerc (11:15am), Jen Currin (11:30am), Amber Dawn (11:45am) and bill bissett (1:00pm).

Also scheduled to appear is Shana Myara as part of a Prism Magazine presentation at 12:30pm in Magazine Words and Carellin Brooks who will be reading from Fresh Hell at the Canada Writes tent at 4:15pm.
