Applications for the 2015 LOUD Foundation scholarships from LOUD Business (Gay and Lesbian Business Association of British Columbia) are now being accepted.
Canadian students currently enrolled, about to attend or have completed a program in the last twelve months at a recognized Canadian post-secondary education institution may apply.
At stake in 2015 is $9,000 in scholarship funds including two LOUD Scholarships of $2,000 each, one Little Sister’s Bookstore Scholarship of $1,000, one Jim Deva Memorial Scholarship Fund worth $2,000, and one Reese/Barajas scholarship of $2,000. Applications are being accepted through January 30.
“We are looking for BC students who are contributing to make a difference now and in the future to the LGBTQ community,” say Foundation organizers.
Applications will be assessed on a number of criteria. Complete eligibility and criteria to apply for a scholarship can be found on the LOUD Foundation website.
Organizers say the LOUD scholarships are an investment in the future leaders of the LGBTQ community with the belief that by supporting the development of students who possess drive, vision, compassion and knowledge, it can improve society and increase awareness of our communities.
LOUD Business (Gay and Lesbian Business Association of British Columbia) is an association of businesses that support the LGBTQ community with products and services.
