Montreal based Fondation Émergence revealed its theme and visuals for its 2015 International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia campaign, which highlights the crucial role allies play in the LGBTQ community’s fight for equality.

The unveiling of the visual components marks the launch of the annual campaign run by Fondation Émergence, which is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year. In addition, the International Day Against Homophobia, which culminates on May 17, now includes trans realities and bears the name International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia. Under the theme “c”, the campaign’s visuals show an ally offering support to an LGBTQ individual.

“This year, our awareness campaign recognises the important contribution made by allies in the lives of all LGBTQ individuals. We all know a relative, a co-worker or a friend who contributed, in one way or another, to our self-development. A more inclusive society will allow sexual diversity to find its rightful place,” explained Martine Roy, President of Fondation Émergence.
