LGBT activist Jim Deva will be remembered in a celebration of life on Saturday, September 27.

Longtime Vancouver LGBTQ community activist Jim Deva died earlier this week after falling from a ladder at his home.  A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, September 27.

Co-founder of Little Sisters Book & Art Emporium, Deva was probably best known for the successful Supreme Court of Canada challenge over the importation of gay and lesbian books and magazines.

Deva will be remembered at a celebration of his life at St Andrews-Wesley Church (1022 Nelson St) on Saturday, September 27 from 3:30-5:30pm.  The celebration will continue at Celebrities Night Club (1022 Davie St) immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to the LOUD Foundation Scholarship.
