It’s time to get your kink on as Vancouver’s annual Rubbout returns for its silver anniversary edition this weekend.
North America’s longest running men’s rubber and gear event goes Elemental for this year’s 25th anniversary, with four days of events and activities for the true rubber aficionado, as as well as those looking to find out what it is all about.
“Preparations are in full swing for the biggest men’s rubber and gear party in Vancouver history,” say organizers. “It’s destined to be impressive to say the least.”
The fun kicks off on March 31 at the Pumpjack Pub with Circus: Under the Big Top featuring and evening of performances, a fashion show, and more. In keeping with the circus theme, expected to perform are shock performer Burns Dragon, and burlesque performer Vixen Von Flex.
The party continues on April 1 with a happy hour hosted by Rubbout founder Bill Houghton and a meet and greet once again co-hosted by Vancouver Men in Leather. The marquee event that night is the Elemental Dance Party at Gorg-O-Mish featuring DJ Del Stamp. The after-party takes place at Steamworks.
Events on Saturday, April 2 kicks-off with Seattle’s Rainy City Rubbermen hosting a brunch with Mr. International Rubber, Jeffrey Gummibärchen. That afternoon there is a Gear Swap and Demos at the Pumpjack followed by the 3rd annual Puppybowl hosted by Van-PAH. The day culminates with a Play Party at 8×6.
