Queens Care returns for its seventh edition in what organizers are calling “the biggest drag event of the season”.

A fundraiser for Vancouver Friends For Life and the Dogwood Monarchist Society Charity Fund, the evening also commemorates the memory of Diana Rose and DJ Jules, two active members of the drag community who have passed away.

The event, hosted by Joan-E & Carlotta Gurl will feature music from DJ Drew and the talents of many of our city’s top drag performers including Peach Cobblah and Kiki Lawhore (photo above) along with Beardoncé, Conni Smudge, DeDe Drew, Gouda Gabor, Iona Whipp, Isolde N. Barron, Ivana Phoque, Jane Smoker, Jaylene Tyme, Mandy Kamp, Milan, Nicki Ravange, Raye Sunshine, Sienna Blaze, Stefanie Blaze, Summer Clearance, and Valynne Vile.

Vancouver Friends For Life is North America’s only comprehensive wellness centre providing complimentary services to people living with different illnesses.

The Dogwood Monarchist Society is represented by an elected Emperor and Empress with a goal to raise money for local charities. The current reigning monarchs in its 43rd year are Emperor XLIII JJ Nation and Empress XLIII Kiki Lawhore.

Queens Care VII takes place at Celebrities Nightclub (1022 Davie St) on Saturday, 8 November.  Tickets are still available online.
