Closed contest: win tickets to Disney’s Newsies

Our contest to win two tickets to win opening night of Disney’s Newsies at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver on July 5 is now closed. Congratulations to our winner, Julie Neufeld.

Set in New York City at the turn of the century, Disney’s Newsies is the rousing tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a ragged band of teenage ‘newsies,’ who dreams only of a better life far from the hardship of the streets. But when publishing titans Joseph Pulitzer and William Randolph Hearst raise distribution prices at the newsboys’ expense, Jack finds a cause to fight for and rallies newsies from across the city to strike for what’s right.

Disney’s Newsies is inspired by the real-life ‘Newsboy Strike of 1899,’ when newsboy Kid Blink led a band of orphan and runaway newsies on a two-week-long action against Pulitzer, Hearst and other powerful newspaper publishers.

Disney’s Newsies plays the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver from July 5-10. Tickets are available at Ticketmaster.

Contest Rules: The contest closes on June 29, 2016 at 5pm Pacific time. All entries received up until that point will be placed in a random draw for two tickets to see Disney’s Newsies at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre (650 Hamilton St, Vancouver) on Tuesday, July 5, 2016. Prize value is estimated at $184.00 for the two tickets. Tickets have no cash value and must be accepted as awarded. All other costs associated with attending the concert are the responsibility of the winner. Click here for complete contest rules. E&EO.
