Eleanor Rigby is lonely no more

Before Ellen there was Eleanor.

Combining live music, dance, and storytelling Eleanor Rigby: The Untold Story is the story of a young woman who in the early 1940’s begins a struggle between her faith and her own demons as she comes to terms with her sexuality.  Based on the inspiration for the famous Beatle’s song, this is the fictional story behind the woman.  An official Pride event, the musical explores how coming to terms with oneself is a unique journey that crosses the boundaries of sexuality, faith, and morality.

Culture Vulture David C Jones talks with Michele Tolosa about her North Vancouver show One Night Stand which recently featured members of the cast of Eleanor Rigby and the co-creators of the show, Laedy Rae and Ty Lowe.

Eleanor Rigby: The Untold Story runs July 31 – August 3, 2013 at the Orpheum Annex (823 Seymour Street, Vancouver).  Tickets are available online.
