Studio 58 opens its new season with a vampire inspired A Midsummer’s Night Dream.

Forget Team Edward and Team Jacob.  How about Team Oberon and Team Bottom instead? Studio 58 opens its new season with a vampire inspired A Midsummer’s Night Dream.

Shakespeare’s wild comedy about the fickleness and joy of teenagers gets the True Blood treatment when the woods surrounding a rural farming village in the Carpathian mountains is filled with vampire fairies who taunt and terrorize the residents.

Culture Vulture David C Jones speaks with director Scott Bellis and actor Erik Gow about the upcoming production.

A Midsummer’s Night Dream runs September 26 to October 20, 2013 at Langara College’s Studio 58.  Visit http://studio58.ca for tickets and information.
