Macbeth is risky business

Our very own Culture Vulture David C Jones directs a partially improvised version of Macbeth at Studio 58.

We always knew we had a talented bunch of contributors here at GayVancouver.Net, not the least of which is our very own Culture Vulture David C Jones who will direct a partially improvised version of Macbeth at his alma mater.

Part of the annual Studio 58 Risky Nights series which bridges classroom and main stage productions, Jones is working with second-year students at the Langara College theatre school with an adaptation of one of Shakespeare’s grandest tragedies.  Partially improvised from suggestions by the audience, this version of Macbeth? (the question mark has been added) means a different show each night.

In this unique Culture Vulture report, Jones interviews himself, with a little help from his cast, about what to expect.

Macbeth? plays Langara College’s Studio 58 February 3-9, 2014.  Admission is by donation, but reservations are recommended by calling the Studio 58 box office at 604.323.5227.  Visit http://studio58.ca for more information.
