Summer is finally here and we’re celebrating with some great choices this week that includes on of our favourite summer treats, riding a coaster with a drag queen! Here are our gay choices for the week of 9 – 15 July 2012.
Of course, you’ll want to check our Events Calendar for details of all the latest happenings around the city. You can also get our daily events feed directly on your iGoogle homepage! Got an event? Send us the details and we’ll get it added to our calendar (and maybe see it listed here in the coming weeks).
MONDAY, 9 July: Indian Summer Festival
An Indian summer is traditionally a heatwave that occurs in the fall but given our rather dismal start to summer on the West Coast it is probably fitting that the Indian Summer Festival is on now. This second-annual celebration of South Asian culture, arts and ideas takes over the Woodward’s Complex in downtown Vancouver through July 15. Visit http://IndianSummerFestival.ca for a complete list of events.
