A mid-week visit to a local bar is sandwiched between UBC pride celebrations, theatre, storytelling and antiques in another diverse week in Vancouver. Here are our gay choices for February 6 – 12, 2012.
Of course, you’ll want to check our Events Calendar for details of all the latest happenings around the city. You can also get our daily events feed directly on your iGoogle homepage! Got an event? Send us the details and we’ll get it added to our calendar (and maybe see it listed here in the coming weeks).
MONDAY, 6 February: Risky Nights – Soul Resource
Studio 58′s Risky Nights are designed as a bridge between the classroom and the stage as second year students have an opportrunity to create every aspect of an original theatre piece from start to finish with a professional director. This time director Rachel Peake takes on Soul Resource with the students to tell a classic story of jealousy and greed that looks at our abuse of natural resources in a very human context. Tickets are limited. Call 604.323.5227 to reserve.

We’re really not into finding ourselves at the same place twice in the same week but when we stumbled across Cheap Date Tuesday at the Oasis we simply had to make it two in a row. We’d go just to see the reaction of the dates when they realize their new boyfriend has taken them to something called Cheap Date Tuesday.
