Casting its nets wide, the Chorus captures the most acclaimed songs of this year and yesteryear, diving deep into the tributes of music aficionados worldwide to surface triumphantly with an array of the greatest songs, artists, and trends of our time. Dominators of broadcast and streamed pop chart songs emerge shoulder to shoulder with the established giants of Bollywood, opera and art music in this fast-paced, eclectic program! Chart breaker Katy Perry flirts with classic Elvis as “Teen Age Dream” sidles up to “A Little Less Conversation.” A thrilling block buster suite of Jacksons 5 – a VMC first – faces off against a power play of sensuous Latin grooves. And the world’s most beloved drinking song from Verdi’s opera La Traviata toasts the success of all!
