This week in (gay) Vancouver: Hershe Bar, Remembrance Day & Queens Care

This week we find out where the girls are, pay tribute to our veterans on Remembrance Day, and the queens help to raise funds for a couple of local charities.

Hershe Bar: Where The Girls Are

Flygirl Productions is back with another edition of Hershe Bar: Where The Girls Are (Nov 10), this time with a Coyote Ugly vibe added (think lacy lingerie and dancing on bar-tops). DJ Riki Rocket is back and shares the stage with UK DJ Nathalie Morel.

Lest we forget. Vancouver Remembrance Day ceremonies take place at Victory Square

Lest we forget. Vancouver Remembrance Day ceremony and parade will begin on Wednesday, November 11 at 9:45am at the Victory Square Cenotaph at West Hastings Street and Cambie Street.

Queens Care VIII

Joan-E and Carlotta Gurl host Queens Care VIII (Nov 14), the annual fundraiser for Vancouver Friends for Life and the DMS Charity fund, as well as commemorating Diana Rose and DJ Jules, two outstanding members of the community who are no longer with us. Billed as the biggest drag show of the year, the evening brings together over twenty local drag performers with music by DJ Drew.
