This week in (gay) Vancouver: The Junction is the place to be

Conni Smudge hosts the Oscars telecast at The Junction

This week we’re putting all our eggs into a single basket and offering up three very different events at The Junction in the Davie Village.

Put on your Sunday best and join Conni Smudge for The Oscars (Feb 22) at The Junction again this year with the red carpet dish starting at 4pm and the Oscar telecast begining live at 5:30pm. She is promising trivia, prizes and even a drag number or too for good measure.

The Vancouver Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence celebrate their fifth anniversary at Unveiled (Feb 24), including a photo exhibit by Vancouver photographer belle ancell. The photographs on display will feature many of the twenty plus sisters who are currently part of the local organization and the evening will also feature performances from Jem ThanksJem, Conni Smudge, and Carlotta Gurl.

With spring arriving early in Vancouver it’s already time to start thinking more about outdoor activities. The West End Slo-pitch Association is looking for a few good men and women. Join them for Softball Registration and Welcome Party (Feb 25) as they get ready to play with balls.
