This week the Elbow Room musical gets revisited, A Loving Spoonful serves lunch, and The Columbia in New Westminster is host to a red ribbon fundraiser in advance of World AIDS Day.

Commemorating World AIDS Day 2014 in Vancouver

A Loving Spoonful’s annual signature event, the World AIDS Day Luncheon (Nov 27) is an exclusive luncheon featuring indulgent cuisine, elegant décor and some of the most precious and unique items presented in the silent and live auctions. This year’s special guest speaker is Mondo Guerra, winner of Project Runway All Stars (season eight). This fundraiser helps A Loving Spoonful serve free, nutritious meals a year to men, women and children affected by HIV/AIDS in Metro Vancouver.

The community comes together in New Westminster for the 8th annual <strong><a href="https://www.facebook.com/events/855027624533158/" target="_blank">Red Ribbons 4 Life</a> </strong>(Nov 29) featuring Bobby Drake, and guest performances by Miz Adrien, Jennifer Geddes, Robin Loveless &amp; Kevin Kreisz (Kiki LaWhore). The evening will be emceed by Martin Rooney &amp; Don Crowe (Myria Lenoir), with the keynote speaker being Dr Brian Conway from the Downtown Infectious Disease Clinic &amp; a world renowned HIV/AIDS Hep C specialist. Funds raised benefit the Djaef Mahler Surrey HIV/AIDS Foodbank at Lookout Emergency Aid Society and AIDS Tijuana.
