Out in the valley: celebrating Pride in the heart of British Columbia’s bible belt

Vancouver isn’t the only city in the region that will celebrate Pride this year, as Out in the Valley and Fraser Valley Youth Society present the 2015 Fraser Valley Pride Celebration.

For three days in July, the LGBTQ community of the Fraser Valley will celebrate at the Trethewey House Heritage Site in Abbotsford, with a number of events in the heart of British Columbia’s Bible Belt,  For the first time in the three years of Pride celebrations in the area, the rainbow flag will also fly at Abbotsford City Hall to mark the event.

Highlights over the three days include a youth dance, outdoor movies, festival, a dance party and a queer art exhibit.
