The Vancouver Pride Society’s annual day of fun at Playland returns, but a move to a new location means you don’t necessarily have to be a fan of amusement park rides to enjoy the day.

For those that might not want to take a ride on the wooden roller coaster with a drag queen, the entertainment and BBQ are will be located in the lagoon area of Playland this year, making it accessible without having to pay admission to the amusement park

Of course, for those that don’t get enough thrills on a Saturday night at F212, the rides and midway games still remain an option, with partial proceeds from gate tickets going to support the work of the Vancouver Pride Society.

Pink is the colour du jour to show your support for anti-bullying and once again Symone will host the Queentastic Legends show with a line-up of performances that include The Bobbers, Connie Smudge, Kiki Lawhore, Isolde N Barron, Celestial Seasons, Adam Beadle and music from DJ Sista J.  A beer garden helps round out the festivities.

Gay Day at Playland
