01Your first job.
The first job I ever had was, not surprisingly, as my parents’ office manager. Well, I started as their minion, but with time, I ended up organizing their files, teaching their assistants how to deal with clients, and designing my parents’ logos. So I guess, the first one would be my parents’ personal assistant!
02The job you wanted as a child.
When I was a child, I really wanted to be a medical doctor. I am now a Doctor of Philosophy in Environmental Studies, and I remain interested in issues of health, but I now focus more on public health, environmental health. And besides, I really don’t want to see all that much blood anymore!
By and large, my Mom. I adore my Dad, but my Mom has always been my hero and a source of inspiration. She raised five boys, did a PhD and continues to work to this day. She is a professor in a Mexican university.
04Your biggest indulgence.
Banana bread chocolate chip muffins. Love them.
05Favourite internet resource.
Love Twitter, and love my iGoogle. I don’t use Google Reader anymore. I declare internet bankruptcy way too often.
06What’s getting the most play on your iPod right now?
There is a song by M People called “What A Fool Believes”. It’s a remake of Doobie Brothers’ famous song, but this one is rather danceable.
07The three things you would want with you on a deserted island.
Mmmmm. I would want to say a hot someone to share the experience with but that’d be too cliché 🙂 I think if I had it my way, I’d have a warm place to sleep in, warm water for a shower and wifi. Yes, I need my laptop. I guess I’d be happy to trade the hot water for wifi 🙂
08Your last meal would consist of…
Ethiopian food. I absolutely love it.
09 Your biggest pet peeve.
People’s unreliability. If you say no, just say no, not “maybe… possibly… potentially”. I like my coffee black, my martinis strong and my friends dependable.
