01Your first job.

My first job was as a barista at an Australian coffee chain. It’s when my love affair with coffee began – we’ve been together ever since.

02The job you wanted as a child.

I always wanted to be a farmer when I was a kid, I loved animals and wanted to ride around on a tractor all day.

03Your pet peeve.

Slow walkers. Places to go, things to do people!

04Your hero.

At risk of sounding sappy – my hero is my dad. He has a great positive attitude and approach to life. He is also full of dad-jokes (which always make me laugh).

05Finish this sentence: I first kissed a boy…

In my dreams … I’m pretty sure it was with Jonathan Taylor Thomas.

06Your biggest indulgence.

Chocolate covered almonds, however I have also been know to enjoy a glass of wine or four.

07The one word your best friend would use to describe you.

08Three things you would want with you on a deserted island.

Sunglasses, tanning oil and Zac Efron fanning me with a palm leaf (may as well make the most of a dire situation).

09 One thing no one knows about you.

I played the flute in my school band … this one time at band camp …

10 The one thing you are most proud of.

I’m proud of the fact that I moved overseas. Living in Canada has been the most rewarding experience of my life so far.

Meet Matthew Davis

Matthew’s bio from the Way Off Broadway website:

No stranger to musical theatre, Matthew Davis attended a high school for the performing arts in his native Australia. Matthew took a leap of faith and moved to Canada two years ago and has since fallen in love with Toronto and become an avid bike-rider and snowboarder. Although he has participated in music classes since a young age, he realized his true passion for musical theatre in high school. Matthew appeared in numerous theatre roles and was part of an all boys dance troop. He hasn’t been involved in theatre since graduation and he’s eager to connect with an audience again and feel the buzz of being back on stage.

Way Off Broadway airs Fridays at 5pm (Pacific) on Bravo! Visit http://wayoffbroadway.bravo.ca for more information.
