Spend 69 seconds with … Peach Cobblah

The fourth in our special series, spend 69 seconds with Vancouver drag queen Peach Cobblah who plays Hanna in the upcoming Vancouver Playhouse production of La Cage aux Folles.

01Your first job.
A kind of job too inappropriate to appear in print.

02The job you wanted as a child.
To be the first big white female rapper … upon thinking about it further, I was crushed to discover I was a man.

03Your hero.
My drag mother Isolde N. Barron (also Associate Director on La Cage) is a constant inspiration, but I have to represent my hiphop girlz and shout out to Missy Elliott and Nicki Minaj!

04If you could have dinner with one person, who would that be?
Dolly Parton! Big glamour is where it’s at and there’s nothing more dragtacular than the biggest hair in the biz.

05Finish this sentence: I first kissed a boy…
… as a way to thank him for a job well done. Zing!

06Your biggest indulgence.
Ch-ch-chains. I’m saving up for my grill.

07RuPaul or Divine?
DIVINE! Hands down! Camp wins over glamour.

08Three things you would want with you on a deserted island.
My wig, my heels and Nicki Minaj’s booty.

09 Your pet peeve.
Sloppy lipsynch! Get it right, girls!

10 The one thing any visitor to Vancouver simply cannot miss.
My drag show Apocalypstick Sundays at The Cobalt. The first Sunday of the month I get to churn it out with HipHopalypstick – it’s sicknin and you don’t wanna miss it.
