It can be a daunting task – 300 artists, in 59 buildings, in 3 days – but as organizers and artists put the final plans in place for the 13th edition of the Eastside Culture Crawl, which starts Friday, November 20th, diehard fans of this annual show are doing their own planning in an effort to see as much as possible of this free event.
Whether it is glassblowers, jewelers, painters, print makers, mixed media artists, furniture makers, photographers, potters, sculptors, or weavers, the Eastside Culture Crawl has artists working in almost every conceivable medium too. And it isn’t all about artists selling you their art either (although you can) but is also a unique opportunity to get up-close-and-personal to meet the creators, ask questions and learn about the artists’ process.
Organized each year by the Eastside Culture Crawl Society, the Society promotes Vancouver’s east side artists and their work and brings arts to the community through events such as the Crawl.
