The Community Arts Council of Richmond announced that dates of its annual Indian Summer art show which will take place at their Artisans’ Galleria in Historic Steveston Village from August 19 to September 30th.
With the jury process scheduled to begin shortly indications from organizers that the quality of this years submissions is very high and the subject matter and mediums varied. Entries in this juried show have been received from across Metro Vancouver and Vancouver Island.
This year’s show will feature a people’s choice award and organizers anticipate that the number of people viewing this year’s exhibition will top last year.
The opening reception, which will be free to the public, will be held Saturday, August 22nd from 1:00pm – 3:00pm. The reception is designed to give the artists the opportunity to discuss their work with the public, answer questions and perhaps even get ideas for future work.
