In May, LOUD, the non-profit foundation arm of the GLBA, will present its annual awards which provide scholarships and mentoring to Canadian students attending BC post-secondary educational institutions. To ensure its ongoing success, the GLBA is seeking sponsors interested in reaching its membership and contributing to the success of its annual LOUD fundraiser.
To maximise the amount of money raised for next year’s scholarships, the GLBA is seeking sponsors interested in reaching its membership and contributing to the success of this annual LOUD fundraiser. A variety of sponsorships are available.
“We are gearing up for this exciting event and it is going to be quite the night! We have a lot of fun planned for the evening and I am confident it will be a bigger success than last year,” said GLBA Board Member, Gary Serra.
However to make it a success, Serra says they need the help from individuals and businesses for next year’s scholarships.
Three of the LOUD scholarship recipients from last year, Joshua Ferguson, Lucy Xiu and Brian Watson, have now gone on to pursue their studies bolstered by a budding relationship with a mentor and a $2,000 LOUD scholarship. In addition, Nathalie Kalb received a third party scholarship in the amount of $1,000 donated by Little Sister’s Bookstore.
