The season begins for Vancouver’s Next Gay Top Model contestants on Saturday, January 23rd with the first auditions and workshop for the 2010 edition.
A fundraiser for Friends for Life, VNGTM contestants will experience the “best time ever” according to the original Gay Top Model winner, Aaron Ursacki.
As with previous years, contestants will compete in a number of challenges leading up to the April 1st final competition which will see the winner receive a modeling agency contract, a trip to Jackson, Mississippi to represent Canada at the Mr & Miss International Competition, a Whistler getaway, a cover shoot and showcase in local magazines and a complete spra retreat package.
Included in the challenges for this year’s contestants are the Charlie David Coverboy Award which will award one of the Gay Top Model 2010 finalists with the cover of his upcoming novel, Shadowlands (to be released Fall 2010). Finalists will also compete in the Bon Bon Bodywear Underwear Challenge will see one lucky finalist winning a photoshoot with the bon bon team and become the face/body of the company for an advertising campaign in the 2010 season. And finally The Lov Magazine Publishing Award will see a finalist showcased in the pages of April edition of LOV Magazine, photographed by TJ Ngan.
All the finalists this year will receive a variety of perks as well including underwear, a magazine showcase, spa packages and theatre tickets.
