Canadian pop superstar Chantal Kreviazuk is set to perform with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra on October 27th.
Kreviazuk will perform her most popular songs, such as Feels Like Home, Jet Plane, Surrounded, Until We Die, and many more, all with the full, lush sounds of the VSO.
A classically-trained pianist and singer-songwriter, Kreviazuk is looking forward to her upcoming performance in Vancouver: “I am thrilled about my upcoming show with the VSO at the Orpheum,” she said. “I have never been so excited for a show and to be singing a collection of my songs with the orchestra is a dream come true.”
Aside from her own albums, Kreviazuk is a prolific songwriter, penning not only her own work, but collaborating with Kelly Clarkson and Avril Lavigne, David Cook, Gwen Stefani, Hilary Duff, Mandy Moore and Carrie Underwood, among others. She also collaborates with her husband, Raine Maida of Our Lady Peace, producing tracks for young bands, writing songs for superstars and recording their own albums. Ms. Kreviazuk is deeply respected in the industry for her songwriting and mentoring skills, as well as for her own inherent musicality and love of music of all kinds. Her classical training makes her and her music a natural to join with a full Symphony Orchestra in live performance.
The VSO’s newly-appointed Assistant Conductor, Pierre Simard, will be making his conducting debut on this very special evening.
