The world’s first LGBTQ music video awards competition is in full swing and while professional industry judges are viewing the videos for a variety of awards, fans will also have their say in the Fan Fave Award.

RightOutTV LGBTQ Music Video AwardsMusic fans around the world can now cast their votes for their favorite LGBTQ artist and music video through November 7, 2011. The artist whose video receives the most fan votes will receive the first Fan Fave Award in this music video competition.

One vote per person is permitted and the Fan Fave will be announced on November 27, 2011 along with the winners in the other categories in both the professional and the do-it-yourself (DIY) divisions.

All artists nominated for this award are listed on the Fan Fave page of the RightOutTV Awards website.

As an added bonus, each fan who casts a vote will be entered into a drawing to win one of three (3) CD packages.

“This is a great opportunity for people to show their support for the artists they think deserve recognition,” says Marlee Walchuk, one of the producers of the awards and an artist herself. Marlee and her wife, Tully Callender are also the Vancouver-based music duo Sugarbeach.

“I’m not sure that fans realize how much it means to these hard working singers, musicians and writers to have a chance to be lifted up by the people that they do all of this for. It’s everything,” says Walchuk.

“Awards are important to an artist, they help bring credibility and confidence and are often the first credits listed in their bio. We wanted to give the people who come to the concerts and buy the albums an opportunity to have their choices heard and get a chance at their own prize of more great LGBTI music,” adds Callender.
