For a lot of people the holiday season is all about giving back to the community just like Vancouver singer Tyrell Witherspoon. With the release of his new single “Glow”, Witherspoon is donating a portion of each sale in December to the Dr Peter AIDS Foundation.
A very personal story set to music, Witherspoon says that he hopes “Glow” is a source of inspiration for others looking to achieve things in their life. “I am a firm believer that anything is possible if you believe it will happen and work your butt off to do it. With the right support around you and persistence to do your best, you’ll always come out on top.”
No stranger to dreaming big himself, Witherspoon’s own story has seen him move from small town Manitoba to Vancouver and finding success on television and on stage including a role in the CW series Hellcats, releasing the singles “Letting Go” and “Dance With Me” and most recently performing with the Vancouver Opera Company in West Side Story.
“This song is all about my personal struggle and battle to make it through the eyes of a young girl with the same dreams,” said Witherspoon.
Continuing to dream big, Witherspoon is planning to begin writing his first full-length album in 2012.
Glow is the third single from Tyrell Witherspoon. Tyrell tells the story of a girl who leaves her small town behind to pursue her dreams of making it big under the lights of the city; a story very close to Tyrell’s heart. You can hear the song at soundcloud.com or purchase it from iTunes. A portion of sales in December will benefit the Dr Peter AIDS Foundation.
