It is not hard to believe that cities like Tokyo, Paris, New York, London, and Barcelona top the Food and Wine magazine 10 Best Restaurant Cities list for 2008.
But a little more surprising are the addition of Sydney, Madrid, Chicago, Stockholm – and wait for it – Vancouver, rounding out the top ten!
Sure, we have always known that Vancouver is the home to some great restaurants and some great chefs but this newest accolade solidifies us as an international city with more than just the mountains and the sea as reasons to visit.
Be sure to check out our own listing of gay and gay-friendly dining establishments right here on GayVancouver.Net. We have everything from great places to have brunch to finer dining to some of the best ethnic restaurants in North America!
Or head to the Tourism Vancouver website for a searchable database of great local eateries. Also pick up free copies of Eat Magazine and City Food for reviews, happenings and the latest on the city’s dining scene.
And don’t forget to consider combining your visit with the city’s annual Dine Out Vancouver event where visitors can dip into Vancouver’s smorgasbord of diverse restaurants at discount prices.
