Queerwood: Lights! Camera! Auction!

It’s back and it’s better as Out On Screen presents QUEERWOOD: Lights! Camera! Auction! an evening of quickie flicks, queer entertainment – and a silent auction too on July 10th!

Vancouver Queer Film FestivalIn response to the success of this event, Out On Screen is partnering with the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation to present this year’s edition in it’s new home, the Roundhouse Community Arts & Recreation Centre. This new venue will bring bigger artists, bigger crowds and of course bigger fun!

Entertainment will include A Fish Called Piranha, a poppy folk duo from the West End and Morgan Brayton, a stand up comedian from East Vanclouver that critics have called “profoundly silly” and “reminiscent of a young Catherine O’Hara”.  Of course the evening would not be complete without the return of your host for the evening, Davd C. Jones.

Confirmed auction items for this year already include a Mac Book, trip for 4 to Las Vegas, a Sony prize pack and much, much more.

Tickets go on sale June 10th.  Visit http://www.queerfilmfestival.ca for more information.
