This week in (gay) Vancouver: all about holiday giving

This week we really get into the holiday spirit with three ways you can help our local communities and some of the great organizations that are there for those who need them most.

AIDS Vancouver Holiday Grocery

AIDS Vancouver’s annual Holiday Grocery (Dec 15) will provide festive food for up to 800 people in the single day. You can help by volunteering, donating food or by making a cash donation.

A Loving Spoonful Food Drive

The season of giving is here! The Fountainhead Pub is host to Breakfast with A Loving Spoonful (Dec 18). Bring a donation of $5 or more and enjoy breakfast courtesy of The Fountainhead. Proceeds benefit A Loving Spoonful’s meal programs, helping to feed men, women and children affected by HIV/AIDS.

A Christmas Story

Luckily for us on the West Coast getting your tongue stuck to a pole isn’t usually a winter hazard. Have a few laughs while doing some good as The Vancouver Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence will host a screening of the holiday classic A Christmas Story (Dec 18). Proceeds to the Sisters granting fund.
