This week in (gay) Vancouver: an evil queen, men in leather and life saving art

This week in (gay) Vancouver includes an evil queen, leather men and life saving art.

The Vancouver Theatresports League returns for the holiday season with another edition of Christmas Queen: Improv Comedy Fairytale (Nov 19-Dec 21). The show our reviewer called “a perfect holiday treat” last year, Christmas Queen is an improvised story based on suggestions from the audience and the imaginations of the actors on stage. A new show each night based on those random ideas, the common thread for each performance is the evil Queen bent on ruining Christmas.

The Vancouver Men in Leather celebrate a milestone with a weekend filled with fetish fun at their 10th anniversary weekend Decade (Nov 21-23). With a fetish social on Friday night, play party on Saturday and celebration brunch on Sunday it will be a fetish weekend to remember.

The annual Art For Life Art Auction & Gala (Nov 22) takes place at the Roundhouse Community Centre this year with a reception and live auction to help raise funds for Vancouver’s Friend for Life Society.  The Vancouver Friends For Life Society is a not-for-profit organization that enhances the wellness of individuals living with very serious illnesses, by providing complementary and alternative health and support services.
