The 11th annual Diwali Fest (through Oct 26) continues with its theme of “Unity in Diversity”. Produced by the Diwali Celebration Society, Diwali Fest is an annual South Asian arts & culture festival that coincides with the Hindu “festival of lights”. Events during the week long celebration take place in both Vancouver and Surrey with the free showcase of Indian culture, Diwali Downtown Vancouver (Oct 25), taking place at the Roudhouse Community Centre.
Ryan Alexander McDonald (photo above) returns as Hedwig in the Ghost Light Projects remount of its critical and audience hit from last season, Hedwig and the Angry Inch (Oct 23-Nov 1).
