The popular summer Pride event, Picnic in the Park, returns to Brockton Oval in Stanley Park on Saturday, July 25.

This family and pet friendly event runs from 11am to 6pm directly following the annual Pride Run & Walk hosted by the Vancouver Frontrunners.

The day includes traditional and not-so-traditional games including tug-of-war and the ever popular drag race. Out in Sports will also host a volleyball tournament. Local DJs will provide the music and the Pride Sports Bar will be open for those adults looking to quench their thirst. There will also be doggy daycare available, plus a bike valet by donation.

This year, the Vancouver Pride Society is partnering with the Museum of Vancouver to offer transportation to/from the West End to Brockton Oval. Regular pick-ups will take place from 11am to 4pm at the Fountainhead Pub (1025 Davie St) and Your Independent Grocer (1255 Davie St).
