Pride season may still be months away, but it really is never too early to start thinking about the biggest and gayest event on Vancouver’s social calendar. Vancouver Pride Week 2013 takes place July 29 – August 4, 2013.
Never content with only a week’s worth of festivities though, the official events for Vancouver Pride 2013 also include a number of Pride related activities leading up to the official weekend including East Side Pride (July 29), Gay Day at Playland (July 13) and the annual Picnic in the Park (July 27).
Vancouver Pride Week 2013 kicks off with the City proclamation on July 29. The Davie Street Party kicks off Pride Weekend on Friday, August 2 and the annual Terry Wallace Memorial Breakfast returns on Saturday, August 3.
The big day comes Sunday, August 4 as thousands celebrate along Denman Street and Beach Avenue with the annual Pride Parade beginning at Noon and continues through the day at the Pride Festival and Market with an eclectic line-up of performers, and a great mix of booths offering up a diverse range of a products, services, and community organizations. The day will end with a Youth Dance.
