Yehonathan to headline 2010 Vancouver gay pride festival

Singer/songwriter Yehonathan will join forces with Lyrik in their Canadian debut as headliners of the 2010 Vancouver Pride Sunset Beach Festival.

YehonathanYehonathan’s first single Calling You, released in 2006 as part of his album Kore Lecha (hebrew for “calling you”) was a gay love song which represented his official coming out. The video version of the song went on to top the charts in Israel.

His next album, On a Hot Summer Night, was released in 2007 quickly becoming a dance club hit and named “one of the top 10 gay videos of all time” by DNA Magazine.

In 2008 Yehonathan co-starred in a recurring role on the highly-provocative Israeli TV series The Ran Quartet where he played Nadav, a sexually-charged young man embroiled in the world of Tel Aviv’s gay scene.

A busy guy in the recording studio, his first English album, My Turn, was released in 2009. That same year his video for Just Another Summer received its worldwide premiere on Logo in the United States. Yehonathan was introduced to America as the cover man and featured interview in Instinct Magazine’s May issue.

In 2010 he released his latest album Remember When and heading out on road for his first North American summer tour which will include Vancouver’s 2010 gay pride celebrations.
